Anglingtimes.co.uk is created by the same editorial team that has produced the UK's best-selling weekly fishing publication for the past 70 years.
It has always been the goal of Angling Times to provide readers and followers with the most up-to-date information on fishing tackle, tactics and tips, alongside the latest catch reports and news from the world of fishing. We are also dedicated to providing detailed advice on fishing venues and spots, so you know where to head next to catch the fish of your dreams!
Who's behind the site
Our team is comprised entirely of dedicated anglers, with each specialising in and across various branches of the sport. Our combined knowledge covers everything from sea fishing and lure fishing to match fishing and carp fishing, with our writers having many years of on the bank experience.
Tackle reviews are carried out under the supervision of our esteemed Tackle Editor Mark Sawyer, who not only has a lifetime of experience in the tackle and bait trade, but has also helped develop many top-selling products himself. The kit we test is chosen on merit and we always aim to provide anglers with the most useful and honest reviews of any product we showcase. Learn more about 'How we test and review fishing tackle' here.
Tactical advice is produced and contributed by some of the UK's best anglers, with our editorial team spending hours upon hours weekly sat behind (and interviewing) other anglers fishing, learning their tips and tricks, so we can pass this on to our readers in an easy to consume format.
Venue guides at anglingtimes.co.uk are created by our editorial team, who have a combined knowledge which spans across the UK, with each of our staff members covering various regions of the country. All of the venues featured will have been visited by our staff or a freelance contributor in recent years, so you can be sure the advice given will be more up-to-date than any information you may find elsewhere on the web.

Do we make affiliate commission?
We work with a variety of affiliate partnerships and we may receive a commission for purchases made through our links. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
How does this impact our gear testing?
Our affiliate partnerships do not impact the product choices we make or the reviews we write. There is no pressure on our editorial team to choose particular products or brands; we won’t recommend a product we don’t believe in. The products will speak for themselves when you invest in them.
