Daiwa poles

Daiwa Air Z Pro
Price: $16m Package More Power or More Match £5,499.99 16m Pole Only £4,699 13m Package £4,499

www.daiwasports.co.uk

The AIR family represents the highest level of Daiwa’s technology and design capability. Without question, the AIR Z pole surpasses its very own supreme standards by bringing additional improvements in the shape of the PRO edition.

All UK made models of this pole are supplied with the clever 2.4m Professional 4mm Match Kit (PTK4.0- AU), which itself is a near equal length two-piece, and features a pre-bore reinforcement for side pullers plus a PTFE bush and No3 nose cone.

The improvements don’t stop there. The slide-easy effect of ITS taping now starts at the No4 and continues down to the No8. Also included is the Super Light PHEX911 extension which, as well as taking the pole to the full 16m, also gives you fishing length versatility by fitting the last three decorated butt sections.

Daiwa Airity Pro
Price: $16m More Power or More F1 Package £3999.99 16m Pole Only £2,999.99 13m Pole Package £3,299.99

www.daiwasports.co.uk

The Airity has been redesigned, performing even stiffer at full length than its popular predecessor. This is due to a combination of upgrades in materials, the tech of Super MSG Nanoplus and enhanced areas of additional power, a sharper response and a better balance. The ‘slide easy’ benefit of ITS Taping has also been extended. It now covers five sections from the No4 to No8. The No9 to No11 are decorated and finished with Diamond Satin.

The redesign is also reflected in the upgraded packages that are offered. The More Power includes four Pro Commercial 4.7mm editions and four Pro Power 5.8mm editions. Additionally, there is a 2.4m Professional Cupping kit.

The More F1 package includes four Interlastic Speed 5.8mm kits and four Pro F1 4.7mm kits as well as an F1 Cupping kit and two HS4A. Both come with PMP 5/6 and 7/8 reversible extensions and a Super Light PHEX 911, as is the pole only.

The Airity Pro 13m is supplied with three top 5 kits - fitted with the improved 2.4m Match Kit which features a PTFE bush and No3 nose cone - a Super Light PHEX 8/9 and a Pro Cupping Kit and cups.

Daiwa Tournament-S Competition

The Tournament-S competition is a modern nod to the original pole, released over 25 years ago. Designed to deliver a lighter handling performance, it features the latest Professional 4mm Match kit. Using technically-advanced Super MSG Nanoplus throughout, the pole weighs at 16m 25g less than the Air Z PRO and at 13m pole weighs 5g less than the 13m Air Z PRO.

The handling and responsiveness is a total dream and, rated to a No10 elastic with match kit supplied, this pole can handle the 4.7mm and 5.8mm kits perfectly fine too. At 16m you can choose ‘pole only’ or the More Match and All-Round packages. For the 13m pole Daiwa provides three top-5 kits, also featuring the new Professional 4mm Top Kit.

Daiwa Connoisseur G90 PRO
Price: $16m More Power or More F1 Package £2,199.99, 16m Pole Only £1,749.99. 13m Pole Package £2,149.99

www.daiwasports.co.uk

The next Connoisseur chapter is here! Its stiffer, lighter and carries updates and improvements that you would normally only associate with the top-end models such as the Air Z or Airity Pro.

With a rich history of applications for multiple fish species and venue versatilities, the new G90 offers high endurance, capable of everything from long-length subtle presentations for finicky F1s to thumping-out big match winning carp at close-quarters.

It has been the ‘go-to’ pole for some anglers at World level events, and has a rich history dating back to 2006 with the G8 model. That legendary pole was followed by the G20 in 2010, the G50 in 2015 and more recently the G90 in 2019. The pole has evolved over time, getting better through each incarnation.

Throughout its time the pole has maintained its reputation for a powerful performance matched with a resilient toughness even when fished at its longest lengths.

The new Connoisseur G90 Pro comes with a choice of More Power and More F1 packages, perfectly reflecting what the modern match angler expects from a pole.

www.daiwasports.co.uk

A set of super-light reversible extensions weighing less than ever before.
These provide a reinforced handling area which protects the main sections of the pole from unnecessary strain and compression.

The new PHEX create less downforce and improves balance when shipping off the roller, meaning there is likely to be less bait spill from a pole pot and fewer tangles.
EVA nose cones at both ends make inserting into the main section easier, as well as protecting the section and ensuring that the section floats.

The new F1 Speed Extension has been designed to be used with PHEX911 to extend poles to 16m when used with the F1 Kit and Short No4.

Daiwa pole technologies

We have all seen the logos and graphics on poles on the bank and in tackle shop pole alleys, but what do they all mean? How do they benefit you in your angling and the performance of the pole?

V-Joint Alpha

The most advanced carbon fibre technology eliminating any stiffness where the pole sections join together that may effect the action, V-Joint Alpha creates stability, whilst reducing weight.

Hyper MSG (Multi Strand Graphite) Nanoplus

Hyper MSG boasts a very high-grade carbon with significantly reduced resin volume. This performance enhancement results in even faster responsiveness while maintaining the same strength levels.

Super MSG (Multi Strand Graphite) Nanoplus

Super MSG is specifically engineered for poles. It features a reduced resin volume while utilising a higher modulus of carbon fibre. This design enhances stiffness and responsiveness, while providing strength without adding excess weight.

ITS (Integrated Taping System)

ITS is formed during the curing process. A broad, textured tape, secures the carbon cloth to the mandrel, and is applied evenly and accurately. This is then compressed by a second layer of narrower tape.

Resulting in lots of small ridges in the resin that are closer together. The result is a low-friction surface and avoids using a paint to create a smooth finish as this adds further weight.

Diamond Satin

Special low-friction paint featuring exceptional hardness and excellent water-repellent qualities has been combined with a textured pigment. This results in a smooth, finished appearance that prevents hands from sticking when shipping back and forth.

Section Alignment System

Every pole section features a 'backbone', therefore the section alignment system allows the user pinpoint the location where complete alignment achieves the maximum combined rigidity of the pole.

You can learn more about these technologies by visiting the Daiwa website.
