Final note
Shot come in a variety of shapes and sizes and will be made of different material. Anything no8 and below will be made of lead, this is soft and won't damage your line as easily, anything above that to 0.5oz will be made of a non-toxic alloy material. Whilst shot are manufactured really well these days, they can vary slightly so you may find that you have to alter the shotting on your float if this is the case.
