We say...
The newest lake at the popular Wyreside complex promises the chance of plenty of action and an impressive head of fast-growing carp.
Opening on April 23, 2017, Foxes is designed as a runs water and has undergone serious work to turn it from a mixed coarse lake into a designated carp venue.
Fishing is from the two longer banks, with six well-spaced swims on each side. There are 170 carp present, including a number of fast growers from Rob Hales, and every one is over 10lb. At the time of opening it is believed there are 40 twenties to about 28lb, but these young fish are set to grow on.
Foxes used to contain an island, but as part of the renovation that has been demolished and a bar that runs the length of the lake has been created.
