Many carp anglers may never catch a 40lb carp in their fishing lives, but Riley Watman managed to catch a 46lb 8oz carp at the age of 11, while using his own bait, no less.
The capture follows a great year of angling, during which he has landed numerous other carp, including eight fish over 30lb. This recent capture surpasses them all, but given his obvious angling ability, it probably won't be long until he beats this record...

"Riley has been fishing for about two years now, and his interest really lies within carp fishing. He does everything himself, including making his own bait, 'Riley's,' which he has been having loads of success with, so much so, he is selling it to the public now," his dad, Bobby, told us.
Arriving at Copse Lake in Chichester, Riley and his dad set up in a favorable-looking swim 5 for a weekend session, which proved to be a great choice.
"I was using a spinner rig with a size 4 hook and one of my 'That's Nutz' pop-ups deployed onto a gravel spot I had found in the lake," Riley said.
"I got a bite not long after and hooked a really strong fish, It plodded around and went on long runs, but after around 20 minutes, I managed to get the fish to the surface."
Riley struggled to contain his emotions when he saw the fish for the first time, as excitement almost got the better of him.
"When she came over the net, I shouted to my dad, 'I've got the big girl, I've got her," he exclaimed.
