A 36-hour session at Bayeswater Fisheries proved fruitful for Tallulah Taylor – who banked four fish, including two new personal bests.

The 12-year-old landed her first new PB – a 31lb 5oz mirror – three hours into the trip. It was followed by a 23lb common that evening from the Essex venue.

This awesome 31lb mirror started the session.

She then decided to try a different spot, where she’d seen some fish moving through a channel, in an attempt to land one more before it was time to go home.

The bivvy was packed away and Tallulah only had her rods left out,” her mum, Cassie, told Angling Times.

“Her middle rod tore off and just as we netted the fish, her left-hand rod screamed off as well! This fish gave a really strong account of itself, taking her through the reeds – it was determined not to go in the net!”

Tallulah eventually came out the winner, however, and her double-take resulted in a new PB common of 29lb 1oz and a stunning 25lb 3oz mirror.
