Spring is well and truly underway as Daniel Bouskila proved, when he banked no less than 14 double figure bream in an epic session that won't be forgotten in a while. The recent mild weather had Daniel dusting off the bream rods as he often does when the temperatures increase but even he had no idea a truly memorable session was in store.

On arrival at the lake, around 10 spods of particles, maggots and groundbait were deposited into the lake to attract the bream into the area and keep them feeding, with the hope of building a hit of fish during the session.
"In my mind, creating a nice circular plate of feed, my plan was to put my swim feeders on either side of this area" Daniel explained.
"My feeder set up was very simple, heli-style with a short fluorocarbon link onto a size 14 wide gape hook, with triple reds."

The session coincided with very favourable weather conditions, with the wind changing direction bringing a rise in temperature.
"I do think one of the main influences to a good session was to follow the wind. I know this gets said a lot, but it truly makes a difference. The wind was in my face. It was pretty brutal on the day to be honest, but it did make for a very successful session," he said.
"In fact it was absolute chaos, I had at least three double takes, all whilst trying to keep the swim topped up with bait, dealing with the fish and getting the rods back out on the spot."
"I smashed my PB at least 4 times during the session with the best being a brace of 14lb fish and finishing with a huge 15.1lb bream, I'm absolutely gob smacked," Daniel exclaimed.
