He had it, along with three others, over two trips to a Colne Valley gravel pit. There, he fished a spicy shrimp and prawn boilie tipped with a plastic corn hookbait on a helicopter rig cast to a gravel bar that he’d baited liberally with a mixture of halibut pellets, sweetcorn and boilies, boosted with oils.
The other fish scaled 15lb 2oz, 13lb, and 11lb 11oz, and fell to the same hookbait, but using Method feeder tactics.
