Lincolnshire’s Garbolino Lindholme Lakes hosted the Golden Reel heat, with conditions on the day suggesting the 42 anglers spread across Bonsai, Laurels and Loco would be in for a busy day of bagging.
It was clear from the off that all the lakes were surpassing the already high expectations, with carp and F1s feeding aggressively.

Come the all out, it was impossible to call who would book their place in the final at Larford Lakes, but once the weigh it had been done, it was Dale Shepherd that got the nod after he hauled out a backbreaking 311lb 4oz from peg 9 on Loco.
Andy Power took second with 273lb 7oz from peg 19 on the same lake, with Oliver Scotthorne securing third from peg 63 on Bonsai.
Incredibly, there were 29 weights over the 100lb barrier, with the overall tally of fish landed almost certainly over 6,000lb, with seven anglers opting not to weigh in.
