Catching one big bream is enough for most anglers, but Dan Bouskila decided he wanted more and caught a brace specimen fish for a total of 30lb! The biggest of the two fish weighed 15lb 12oz which was also a new PB for Dan, with the slightly smaller fish coming moments before, weighing 14lb 4oz in what was an incredible few minutes angling.
Arriving on an exposed reservoir, harsh conditions greeted Dan, with gale force winds and torrential downpours attempting to put him off. Undeterred, he setup to fish straight into the winds as previous knowledge told him the bream would have followed the storm and it paid off for him tremendously.

"After settling the rods it wasn’t long before the odd indication on the bite alarms started and the bites were very delicate, however the first drop back saw me lift into a solid lump, alerting me it was a good one," Dan told us.
"It was very heavy and actually did fight, when it turned on the surface I knew straight away it was a gooden and upon weighing, it read 14.4lb on the digital scales which was an unbelievable start".
This wasn't to be the only bite of the day, whilst most anglers would have been overjoyed to land a bream of those proportions, another bite followed straight away which exceeded all expectations.
"Recasting and throwing 2 spods over the top, knowing they were there I put just enough bait to draw in the more nomadic bigger bream but not too much that it drew in the whole shoal, with that the rod was away again," he said.
"Straightaway, I knew it was another good one, it definitely felt heavier than the other I had landed and after a short fight I saw the flank of an absolutely colossal bream and straight away I knew it was a PB!"
"Sliding it in the first time and grabbing the net by hand, I felt the full weight, it was massive, coming in at 15lb 12oz which is a new PB and an absolutely beautiful dark male Bream, I was chuffed to say the least." Dan explained!
Soaked through, Dan could have gone home happy but his final rod signalled another bite and he went onto land another large slab of 13lb 12oz, making it 43lb of bream in 3 casts, a truly sensational session!
