The silvers are on the feed at the Oaks.

Oaks, Firs and Willow at The Oaks in North Yorkshire are home to plenty of carp to over 20lb that are the main target during the warmer months. Once they stop feeding it is the silvers that come to the fore and a field of 17 anglers entered the latest event, with Alder snake lake also pegged.

Every angler was kept busy and the lowest weight brought to the scales was 12lb.

In the end it was Steve Spears that took the top spot with an impressive 53lb from peg 12 on Alder. Second placed Rob Minikin secured second with 44lb 5oz from peg 2 on Firs, while Martin Holmes’ 39lb 15oz from peg 3 on Alder finished off the frame.
