Hadrian Whittle is one of the nation's best river anglers, and down the years has developed a reputation for catching huge bags of bleak when the situation demands it.

Well, this week he's been at it again, having just taken his sixth 50lb-plus net of them!

He amassed the 1,400-fish haul during the Wye Team Champs, taking 50lb 4oz of bleak on whip tactics alongside 3lb 10oz of perch, to help his Team Woodys Premier to victory on the day.

It's not the first time he's had a huge net of bleak.

"I had a simple match plan - fish for bleak, with occasional looks for the perch beneath them," he revealed.

"The bleak fishing was steady, but not electric, and the perch fishing was poor, but my combined weight was enough for the section win.

"It was a great start to the team matches on the fish-packed Wye."
