The run of big fish continues this week, with yet another 60lb carp! The lake in question, The Avenuewhich is part of the RH Fisheries group, was the latest venue to give up its top prize in the form of Zac, at an enormous 62lb 8oz.
The lucky captor, Matthew Willshaw, was down for a session recently where he managed to catch Zac, which is now his third 60lb carp from that particular fishery, incredible! Favourable conditions greeted Matthew on his arrival to the lake, and it didn't take him too long to get into the action...

"On arrival I chose the end of the lake where the south westerly wind had been blowing anticipating the fish would be there," he told us.
"After an uneventful first 24 hours I decided to change my the area I was fishing and target the end of a feature at 17 wraps."
This new area filled him with confidence and with the weather improving by the hour, Matthew decided to give the spot a healthy amount of bait.
"I baited up with 2kg of RH baits simply red 12 mm boilies and crumb , fishing a combi-rig with a match the hatch simply red pop up I cast out at mid day," he said.
"At 19.25 as the rain subsided and the sun came forming a rainbow in the distance. The end of that rainbow was bang in line with where my rig was positioned."
"Five minutes later it was away, and after a tense 15 minute battle it was in the net and to my disbelief it was the lake’s biggest resident, Zac at 62.08 lbs, which is my third different uk 60 from the venue," Matthew exclaimed!
