The Old River Nene at March is a prolific silverfish venue, especially in winter, but on the section near the March Bypass parking has long been an issue.  “There were plans made for an angler-only car park nearly 20 years ago, but it was only suitable for 10 vehicles, and would be on a housing estate,” Mick Wesley, from construction company Canon Kirk, told us.

“I knew this would be too small and end up being used by residents. Now, we’ve got safe parking and access designed specifically with anglers in mind,” he added.
