After a phenomenal campaign at Frimley last year, which saw him pick up the Carp Angler of the Year title in the National Angling Awards, Dave Levy this year decided to turn his attentions to a lake he first fished over 30 years ago.
Starting his campaign in April, Dave returned to the 28-acre 'Ski Lake' and caught a few good fish, including some of the older residents throughout the spring. But in recent weeks, he has really put in the effort, which has brought him some special rewards.

"I've put a few more nights together this month; in total, I've done 16 nights for 64 fish, my target for the year was 30," he said.
"It wasn't until my last session, however, that I finally caught the big mirror I really wanted."
Returned to the water unweighed, the incredible carp is a fish that Dave caught at 14lb around 31 years ago and was last landed weighing 43lb.
"I wanted it so badly," he told us.
"I have tickets with much bigger fish, but it was just a personal thing to meet this carp again."
Remarkably, Dave braced the huge fish with one of the lake's big commons at 38lb to complete what has been a red-letter month of angling.
