‘BANDERING’ produces PB zed

'BANDERING' produces PB zed

TWO-TIME Drennan Cup champ Dai Dribble has been on a roll with zander this season, and has just landed a new PB from the Tidal Trent, weighing 17lb 2oz.

He spent a couple of days on the river and used an approach he describes as ‘bandering’, where he switches between targeting barbel and zander, using the same rods but changing the end tackle.

During the last hour of light and first few hours of darkness he puts on a lighter lead and a wire trace to fish a roach deadbait on a single hook.

On the night in question, after landing the fish it was only when Dai peeled back the net mesh that he realised just how fat his well-earned prize was!
