There was a familiar name at the top of the table after the weigh in, with Andy Bennett winning the match and bagging his spot in the £10,000 final at Worcestershire’s Larford Lakes.

Drawn on peg 14 of Beeches, he worked with pole and maggots to finish with 46lb 5oz of ide and skimmers. Second placed Lee Wright weighed in 39lb 15oz from peg 40 on Loco and also secured his place in the final.

There were plenty of bites for the rest of the field too, with the 17 anglers that weighed in sharing over 450lb of silvers between them.
