Big perch tops reservoir haul

Jigging tactics fool 4lb-plus specimen

WE’VE been inundated with brilliant perch catches this week, but lure fanatic Sam Edmonds’ 4lb 8oz fish from Grafham Water tops the lot.

Fishing from a boat with his dad, the pair had a fantastic session, sampling some of the finest sport our reservoirs have to offer.

His dad chipped in with perch of 4lb 3oz and 3lb 15oz, plus several zander to 7lb, all the fish falling to jigging tactics, with a 9cm Slick Shad fished on a 10g jig head doing the damage.
