THE River Frome has a reputation for producing various silverfish species to eye-watering sizes, and Poole angler Richard Barlow made the most of the southern waterway’s bumper form when he landed this superb 1lb 1oz dace from the stretch at Wareham.
Fishing a Black Cap maggot feeder set-up, Richard connected with what he initially thought was a sea trout, but was delighted by the size of the dace that surfaced.
