For many anglers who become parents, spending time on the bank with their kids is the ultimate way to enjoy fishing. While some children are simply happy to be outdoors, others really take to the sport and become skilled young anglers in their own right, often surpassing their parents, not that they would like to admit it!
Matthew Fernandez is one such angler who cherishes time on the bank with his kids, and together they've already caught some magnificent fish. On their most recent session, Matt and his son Lennox targeted a local water, landing a number of quality tench, with the biggest of the session tipping the scales at 9lb.
IF YOU WANT TO TAKE THE FAMILY FISHING, HERE ARE SOME GREAT LAKES FOR BEGINNERS.

"Me and my son started our spring and summer tench campaign this Saturday on a local water to us that holds a few nice tench," Matt informed us.
"It turned out to be a really prolific session. I thought we might get a couple of bites, but the tench seemed to be really up for it," he added.
"We fished open-end feeders, helicopter style, with short hooklinks, opting for Dynamite Baits The Sourc_e_ hook baits, which I find the tench adore."
"We fished them over a tight bed of Dynamite Baits Frenzied Hemp and mixed-sized pellets to give them something to grub around in."
"The biggest I landed went 9lb, and my son landed tench up to 6lb—which is a new personal best for him, these along with a few other fish, made for a great session."
THE BEST FISHING BIVVIES WILL MAKE LONGER SESSIONS ON THE BANK MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE.
