TARGETING a small gravel hump at long range was the winning tactic for Lee McManus when he banked this 16lb 4oz bream from a Midlands gravel pit.
The lifelong fan of the species, who lives in Leicester and seems to get among the big slabs every spring, lightly baited the ‘mini feature’ after locating it at around 80yds, with four Spombs of mixed feed. He then offered a hair-rigged 12mm boilie fished on a short hooklink over the top to make the impressive catch.
