Blueprints have been drawn up to try and get a former top bagging water back to its best.

West Midlands complex Blythe Waters used to draw anglers in from far and wide in the 1990s, but visitor numbers plummeted as customers started to wet a line elsewhere.

The venue has 130 pegs.

Venue owners Canal & Rivers Trust have decided to try and transform the 130-peg venue’s fortunes, with a huge stocking program now underway. Over 3,500lb of bream have already been stocked into Bridge Pool, with further introductions of roach and carp planned in the near future to boost numbers in the other four lakes onsite.

A new management team have also been installed, with Trevor Bowcott of Perls AC now in charge. Renovation projects will also get underway to enhance the aesthetics of the complex as they try to draw back anglers that haven’t visited in an age.

Day tickets are priced at £8 adults and £7 concessions. For more details call Trevor on 07486 522531.

Quality fish have been stocked by the CRT.
