Game Fair set to be a celebration of fishing for all anglers

The Game Fair is set to return to Ragley Hall in Warwickshire from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 July and there is plenty on offer for coarse fishing fans.

The Game Fair is this weekend!

Celebrating its 65th anniversary and the launch of National Fishing Month, the three-day event has a dedicated Fishing Village which will be showcasing top brands such as Shimano, Hardy, Greys, Shakespeare, Yeti, Reuben Heaton, Eagle Claw, Fortis Eyewear, Dinsmores, TTClassicPlus and loads more. There all be plenty of tackle to buy, not to mention antique tackle advice and valuations.

The event will see numerous coarse fishing celebrities descend on the estate including River Monsters star Jeremy Wade who will be giving casting demos, mingling with fellow anglers and signing copies of his books.

Gone Fishing star Paul Whitehouse will be hosting Sunday lunch in The Investec Enclosure restaurant as well as appearing next to the lake along with carp fishing champions Brian and Martyn Skoyles from Daiwa. You can also meet the teams behind angling charities including Tackling Minds, Anglers National Line Recycling Scheme and Fishing 4 Heroes, among others.

As part of the Get Into Fishing concept, The Angling Trades Association will be launching its exciting National Fishing Month and Take A Friend Fishing initiatives and there will be fun kids’ activities and demonstrations from experts as well as competitions.

For those new to the sport, coaches from the Canal and River Trust will help visitors catch their first fish on the lake, which is stuffed with carp, roach, bream and more – all for free! The Environment Agency is bringing a huge tank full of native fish for visitors to study up close plus there will be a roster of high octane talks in the Landing Stage theatre.
