2024 Golden Reel final ends in thrilling finale

Zac Brown claims the 2024 Golden Reel title at Larford Lakes. Drawing peg 4 (permanent 10) on the burr bank of the Specimen Lake, a known productive area. Brown faced stiff competition from Jamie Hughesand Jordan Holloway who were pegged on the chalet bank.

Despite a slow start, Brown's strategic adjustments paid off as he landed a fish almost immediately. He continued to fish patiently, feeding 6mm pellets long on the pole to catch 5 more fish during the match. With an hour and 20 minutes remaining, Brown fed his margin with maggots and groundbait, setting the stage for a dramatic finish.

In a thrilling climax, Brown managed to land a large fish and also a foul-hooked one. His 8-fish haul weighed in at a staggering 90lb 02oz, securing the Golden Reel title pushing Jamie Hughes into second place with 75lb and Jordan Holloway third with 73lb 09oz.
