A 14-year-old student from On Track Education has made a remarkable catch when on a school organised fishing trip.
Jamie Yates, a student at the independent school based in Cambridgeshire, was enjoying his lunch when he had the bite, he then proceeded to land a massive 106lb catfish. The experience was a thrilling culmination of his newfound passion for angling, which he has developed through the school's confidence-building program.
"As soon as I picked up the rod, I knew I'd hooked a monster!" Jamie recalled. "The fish was so powerful that it pulled me to the other end of the lake and even knocked over three other anglers' rods!"
After a grueling 40-minute battle, Jamie managed to bring the enormous catfish to the surface and land it. The catch has solidified his love for fishing, and he now spends much of his free time on the bank.
