Social fishing trips don't get much better than the one recently experienced by Bekki Batley, who on a recent trip to Berners Hall Fishery smashed her personal best carp four times and landed one of the biggest ghost koi ever caught by a female angler in the UK.
Between her and her partner Shane Bundock they caught a total of 22 carp during their four-night session, catching more and bigger fish than anyone else at the Navitas and Cult Tackle event at the Essex venue.

"Her PB was 24lb before we went," Shane told us.
"On her first bite she caught a 27lb common and then it went mad with two more bests to 29lb."
Already over the moon, Bekki then bumped into one of the venue's real giants, a ghost koi named 'Eric' at 45lb.
"She wasn't happy with just the one 40lb fish either, as the next morning she had a 42lb common too," Shane said.
All the pair's carp fell to a new test boilie by Mainline Baits - it certainly looks to be a winner!
