Huge specimen bream is a new PB for Macey

TV STAR Dean Macey smashed his bream PB out of the water with this 16lb 14oz slab.

Arriving at a busy lake that restricted his swim choices, Dean found one peg free that offered decent access to open water. He baited it with 10 large Spombs filled with pellets, boilies and corn, before casting lead-clip rigs with fake corn hookbaits over the top.

After a quiet, sunny first day, a storm then blew in, bringing with it a change of fortunes for Dean, who received a large drop-back bite on the bobbin before connecting with a solid weight that gave a few head nods – typical of big bream.

Having seen it roll a few rodlengths out, he knew this was the specimen he was after.
