A MUSEUM to celebrate the life of the late, great John Wilson has been created, filled with his most treasured fishing items.

Situated on the Jurassic Fishing Park in Thailand – the country John moved to in his later years – the museum was opened last month by John’s brother Dave, and contains many bits of tackle readers may be familiar with, including John’s waistcoat and Avon quiver rod.

The museum is open to all, not only resort guests, and John’s nephew, Martin Bowler, is looking forward to welcoming guests.

“When John moved to Thailand, he gave some of his gear away but kept everything that was precious to him,” he said.

“The guys at Jurassic wanted to build the museum in honour of John, so if any readers are in the area, give the venue a call and we’ll arrange a time for you to visit.”
