Oxfordshire’s Linch Hill complex is renowned for the stunning residents which reside in its waters. Leon Bartropp recently landed one of the venue’s most sought carp in for the form of this 48lb 2oz mirror known as ‘No Name’ from the notoriously difficult Stoneacres.

The fish fell to a CC Moore Northern Special pop-up presented over a scattering of Pro-Stim Liver boilies and a handful of Sweet Tigers.

“I feel fortune enough to fish this awesome Linch Hill complex, but to catch one of its special ones has given me a buzz that I’ve still not came down from,” said Leon, who used a hinge stiff rig tied with size 4oz Avid Amorok Chod hooks in conjunction with a 5oz gripper lead.

“No photo can do this fish the justice it deserves, with no one around to take shots I managed some pretty good self takes even if I say so myself! Some days the carp gods smile down on us for all the hard work, effort, treating nature right and paying the lake the respect it deserves and this week was one of those times,” he added.
