There are few anglers in the country who know Oxfordshire's day-ticket Linear Fisheries complex better than Tom Maker, which he proved again recently with a staggering catch of big carp from the site's Brasenose 2 Lake.

In what can only be described as an 'epic' winter carp fishing session, Tom caught no less than 14 20lbers, four thirties and the lake's biggest resident mirror at 44lb.

Commenting on his Tom Maker Carp Angler social media page, he said: "I'm still struggling to believe what happened, quite possibly one of my best-ever January sessions."

Arriving to a typically busy Linear complex, Tom had to slot into an area he was a little unsure of, but after seeing a fish show near his zone the confidence was high and the rest is history.

The whole session was captured for the CineCarp TV cameras, a platform that finished runner-up in the 2023 National Angling Awards - we certainly can't wait to watch this one!

Having recently switched sponsors from Fox to Korda, Tom used Korda end tacklecomponents and rods, these were used to present Sticky Baits Mulbz pop-ups tipped with maggots over a mix of chopped worms.
