One of the nation’s most vocal environmental campaigners has called on anglers to join him on a giant anti-pollution protest being planned for later this autumn.

Former rock star Feargal Sharkey is a highly-vocal critic of the UK’s water utilities, and frequently highlights the systematic failures that continue to cause enormous levels of pollution to our waterways.

He’s now calling on the general public to also vent their anger by joining him on the march to London’s Parliament Square on October 26.

A statement from the March for Clean water website read:

“We are marching to reclaim our right to clean, healthy and abundant water for all people across the UK. This is a national gathering of all those concerned and outraged about the state of our waterways. Together, we can resolve this public health emergency.”
