Lake One on Phase One was his home for the day, with several balls of groundbait laced with casters introduced on the long pole line. His favoured mix on the day was a non-fishmeal blend of Super Natural Dark and Natural.
He gained an almost instant response, with the roach clearly undeterred by the low water temperatures. Bites kept coming all day, with dozens of 8-12oz redfins contributing to a 30lb plus netful.
