Specimen hunter James Champkin has enjoyed some amazing bream fishing recently, topped by the capture of this 15lb fish.

He told Angling Times:

“I’ve been concentrating on a new venue and the huge bream it’s rumoured to hold. It’s a small lake in the Home Counties, and over the course of several sessions I’ve enjoyed some amazing bream fishing, landing 38 big fish, with lots between 11lb and 13lb 15oz. The two biggest went 14lb 13oz and 15lb exactly.

“Popped-up artificial corn with a Method feeder wrapped in Marine Halibut Method Mix was the winning tactic. There’s a chance of bigger bream from the lake, but given that they’ve just spawned, I’ve decided to leave them alone for now and have another crack towards the end of summer.”
