Nominations

With some stunning performances this year, here is a quick reminder of the year that our nominees have had to help you choose your overall winner!

Darrell Peck

Even by Darrell’s high standards, 2024 has been a special year in terms of big carp landed. The Korda-backed angler landed no fewer than four sixties from French waters The Orient and Three Islands lakes, he also banked the stunning fully-scaled mirror from The Manor Carp Fishery in the UK at 63lb 8oz. This was backed up with 15 fifties and 20 UK forties, taking his tally of UK-caught 40lb-plus carp to more than 100! Remarkable figures from a remarkable carp angler.

Dave Little

Not many anglers can boast of catching a 30lb-plus river carp. Dave Little recently achieved the impressive feat of catching his 11th and 12th running water 30lb-plus specimen from his local River Great Ouse. He also banked the sought-after Rosie at 47lb from the Woolpack syndicate in Cambridgeshire.

Mark Holmes

The ever-consistent big-carp angler has once again enjoyed a prolific 12 months. In 2024 he has slipped his well-worn net under three fifties, 16 forties and 16 Yorkshire thirties!

Terry Hearn

The legendary carp angler has caught some of the country’s most sought-after carps over the years, and in 2024 he added a new PB common to his highly-impressive big-carp CV in the form of a 49lb 9oz giant from Carthagena Fishery’s Brooke Lake.

Tom Maker

A hugely prolific carp angler, Tom has once again been kept busy hauling  from waters both in the UK and Europe. The highlights include fish to just under 70lb from Croatian super water, Lake Zajarki, as well as numerous thirties and several forties from pressured UK day-ticket waters such as Linear Fisheries and Bluebell Lakes.
