A new £5,000 grant from the Kent Community Foundation will allow young people between the ages of 10 and 16 to enrol in the Countryside Alliance ‘Foundation’s Fishing for Schools’ scheme. Students that have been experiencing a variety of challenges to learning will be selected by their teachers and given a chance to benefit from the wellbeing impact of angling.

Charles Jardine, the project’s founder, said: “As a Kent lad, I am thrilled by the support of the Foundation and the vital resource that they have kindly offered. This will help so many young people and I know that with the team we have and the generous support being offered, we can deliver.”
