ANGLING clubs, fisheries, tackle shops and coaches are being urged to get involved with this year’s National Fishing Month (NFM) to try to make it the biggest and best yet.
Following a successful relaunch in 2021, NFM is returning in August with a month-long celebration of all kinds of angling, but the joint Angling Trust, EA and Angling Trades Association initiative needs support from the fishing community. They’re looking for everything from people to run Get Fishing events, for which support will be provided, through to fisheries and tackle shops to run open days, coaching sessions or offer discounts to juniors.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for the angling community to come together and celebrate the wonderful world of fishing,” said James Roche, from the Angling Trust. “We’re looking for people to run events and activities, and I’d urge anyone who wants to get involved to visit the NFM website.”
