The Brazilian international then wheeled off towards the adoring fans before pretending to cast a rod and reeling in.

Luiz – who was named man of the match – was asked about his antics during a post-match interview with Sky Sports and he said: “I like fishing so much. When I go to Brazil, every time I go fishing. The celebration is for my family and my friends who like fishing. I'm a really good fisherman!”

He joins a growing list of elite footballers to reveal their love for angling, with Man City’s Phil Foden and Liverpool’s Mo Salah amongst them.
