Quality perch banked during short lure session

Sometimes a short session is all that is needed to bank quality fish, especially when lure fishing. How often do you fish all day with no bites, only to get a few hits within minutes of each other, proving if you are on the bank at the right time, an hour or two will suffice.

Eddie Wilson experienced exactly that when he managed to get a quick session in, which saw him land this rotund perch weighing 4lb 8oz.

It was caught alongside another of 4lb 2oz, plus a few ‘threes’, over an exceptional couple of days of lure fishing.

Targeting a Notts gravel pit, Eddie fished small shads on light gear, along the marginal shelf. The biggest of his fish was caught after Eddie had finished work one morning, and he said it gave him a great scrap before hitting the net.

Eddie was rightly overjoyed with his quality 4lb 8oz perch!
