While business remains tricky for many independent tackle shops, the Angling Direct (AD) Group continues to thrive, with the firm having just announced a 12% rise in revenues to £91.3m for the last financial year.

In 2024 funds were pumped into new operations in the Midlands, at Cannock, Newark and Derby, and a further expansion of the group’s operations elsewhere across mainland Europe is on the agenda over the next 12 months.

Steve Crowe, Angling Direct CEO, said: “We are proud to have delivered this strong performance against a highly challenging market backdrop."

“Our sustained growth demonstrates the resilient nature of our business model and demand for our products from a steadily growing customer base.”
