“THERE aren’t many free stretches of river like the Dorset Stour at Longham, where I had this 7lb chub. It’s thrown up fish of this size year after year.

“This one was long and relatively empty, and come winter it’ll go 8lb for sure. I managed another two, weighing 5lb and 6lb, plus a decent barbel, which is what I was after.

"All the fish fell to Klips baits, and I fed groundbait and pellets, using boilie hookbaits.”
