An up-and-coming carp venue has been opened to offers of management, with anglers invited to submit their bids in coming weeks.
Harthill Reservoir, in South Yorkshire, covers 33 acres and is currently owned by the Canal & River Trust .
It comprises three ponds – one is a feeder-fishing pool, while the upper reservoir is stocked mainly with carp and also holds specimen bream, pike and roach.

The main reservoir, now undergoing engineering works, will be stocked with match-sized carp of the famed Fishers Pond strain.
“At Upper Harthill Reservoir it’s not unheard of to catch more than 30 fish in a session, with carp averaging 8lb and some running close to 30lb,” said John Ellis, National Fisheries and Angling Manager at the CRT.
“We are confident that the fishery will prove extremely popular with match anglers.”
A significant reduction in government funding has prompted the CRT decision to put the management of the reservoir out to tender.
