The match fishing record at the popular Todber Manor complex in Dorset has been smashed, following a staggering catch of over 800lb of carp in five hours.
16 anglers were fishing the open match on Hillview Lake, which even with the form the venue has this time of year for massive weights, still exceeded everyone's expectations.

Mark Wynne came out triumphant with a colossal weight of 834lb 4oz, securing the record and a new personal best, equating to just under 3lb of fish a minute.
Mark explained: “I drew Peg 46 and had a bit more room than usual due to a few no shows.
"The lake had a nice ripple on with the wind blowing towards me”.
Mark always favours a peg in the wind as the carp at Todber tend to follow it and feed more confidently.
“It was mega all day, I caught all my fish shallow on the pole with maggots at 4/5m," he said.
Runner-up was Pemb Wrighting, who drew down the bank on Peg 44 and put 715lb 12oz on the scales.
“It looked cracking, and it was," he said.
"I caught for the first three hours on the bottom, then they eventually came shallow - unreal fishing!”
Pemb's tactics were fishing pellets to start, but ended similarly to Mark on maggots shallow on a short pole.

Craig Edmunds' 651lb 2oz from peg 53 was only good enough for third. The general consensus on the day being that the bit of extra room and high temperatures sparked the carp into a feeding frenzy, and the weights certainly proved that.
