Common carp don’t come much better looking than this pristine 43lb 8oz example caught by Jamie Cook from a Cotswolds syndicate lake.

The Angling Trust CEO stalked the specimen from up a tree on the gin-clear pit after locating a group of carp in the area.

“I fed a mix of hemp and Baitworks Edge pellets and it took about an hour to get two fish feeding on the spot together at the same time," said Jamie.

"It then didn’t take long for the common to pick up my rig, which was an incredible sight to witness!”

The fish was tamed on a size 4 E-S-P hook attached to a Tungsten Loaded hooklink from the same company.
