Put the nation’s most in-form match angler on a commercial end peg and it is only going to end one way.

Preston Innovations-backed star Jordan Holloway went up against some of the best in the land during last week’s two-day tournament at Shropshire’s Monkhall Fisheries, but he refused to be phased.

Despite having the likes of Andy Bennett, Kristian Jones and Jamie Hughes breathing down his neck, he kept his cool to take overall victory.

Two section wins and almost 540lb of fish were bagged to seal him the win.

Jordan Holloway has been on a superb winning run, against tough competition!

His next move was to head to Worcestershire’s Larford Lakes for the final qualifier for The Golden Reel. His drawing arm was in red-hot form, with Jordan drawing end peg 26 on the prolific Match Lake.

He made the bold decision to target the margins for the duration of the match and it worked wonders, with carp to double figures contributing to his winning 329lb total.

He will now compete in the final next weekend where over £40,000 will be shared between the winners.
