An initiative that aims to attract a new wave of anglers has been launched by the boys at Tackle Guru and Korda, with a stream of events set to take place over the coming months.

Embryo Family Fishing is a new division of Embryo Angling Habitats, which was founded by Korda boss Danny Fairbrass in 2014 with the aim of creating accessible and affordable fisheries, as well as safeguarding lakes at risk. It’s been a big success since inception, and this latest drive is a natural progression of the company’s direction, revealed Marc Foy, Head of Guru Fishery Operations and Management.

WANT TO START FISHING THE RIGHT WAY? HERE ARE SOME OF THE BEST STARTER KITS.

“Last summer we ran the Guru Fishing School and could have sold out each event multiple times over,” he said.

“But we didn’t really have the platform to promote it fully and inspire others to give fishing a go, so that’s one of Embryo Family Fishing’s principal aims.”

Marc and his team have also developed a couple of waters on Embryo sites that’ve been stocked and designed specifically for beginner sessions.

“These waters, such as Broom Family Lake, will also be fishable on a day ticket, so anyone can come and enjoy some fantastic fishing. In addition, we’ll be hosting events on community waters, like park lakes, so keep an eye on the Embryo Family Fishing Facebook page for updates on how to get involved.”
