Every year, fish in the UK seem to be getting bigger and bigger, and carp are no different. There have already been carp caught in the UK that exceed the 70lb mark, and while these captures haven’t been officially recognised as records for various reasons, they do demonstrate that UK waters are capable of holding fish once thought impossible to catch in this country.
The team at RH Fisheries is always striving to produce bigger fish, to provide anglers with the opportunity to catch the carp of their dreams on a day ticket basis. Recently, they grew a massive 64lb common carp on their fish farm, which was later caught, putting into practice what they have set out to achieve. Now, their latest addition is a stunning fully-scaled carp that has already reached an impressive 44lb on their outdoor site.
In their constant pursuit of pushing the boundaries of UK carp fishing, this fish is set to be introduced into their heated system. Here, it could potentially gain enough weight in just one year to become one of the largest carp in the country by spring 2026.
"We will always grow big fish and stock them in our fisheries to provide premium carp fishing in stunning surroundings," they told us.
"The fact is that there are bigger fish in the UK which are 70lb+ and we are confident more and more carp will grow to 70lb+ in the UK."
"If another one of our fish grows bigger than the so called ‘British Record’ we wouldn’t care whatsoever but the fact is that it would be one of the biggest in the UK."
"Our only priority is to grow carp which are healthy to stock into our fisheries or sell to provide the best possibly carp fishing experience in safe and stunning surroundings for anyone to fish."
IF YOU SPEND A LOT OF TIME FISING FOR CARP, INVESTING IN ONE OF THE BEST BIVVIES IS WORTHWHILE.
