Over 70 anglers descended upon the in-form waterway for the fourth round of the Winter League, with everyone expecting the top weights to break the triple figure mark once again.

That inclination proved to be spot on and it was venue expert Andrew Murphy that came out on top with an immense 151lb 2oz. Drawn on peg 92, he used floatfishing tactics to keep chub coming at a rapid pace throughout the contest.
Tom Boulton secured second place with 142lb 13oz from peg 83, while Nigel Evans slotted into third with 140lb 6oz from 96. Rob Giles was the other angler to break the triple figure barrier with 105lb 6oz from peg 84.
There were also 13 other weights over 50lb, with a mixture of roach, chub, barbel, bleak and perch caught on the day.
