Best Black Friday 2025 fishing pole deals

Utilising new and ultra-high-grade nano alloy carbons, Daiwa's Air Z Pro pole has built a strong reputation as one of the best there is. A flagship product that provides the ultimate in performance.

One of the most expensive poles on the market but also one of the best performers. The Daiwa Air Z Pro pole is incredibly light, even at 16m. With a match top two kit, this is the best pole in the world. Even with the heavier top kits, it's ridiculously rigid, incredibly responsive and super stiff.

The section wall strength of this pole is good, which means it can land some pretty big carp, certainly up to 20lb. If accidents do happen, Daiwa spares are readily available in the UK, so you won't be left with a situation where you can't go fishing.

At this amount of money, resale value is also a key consideration, and Daiwa poles tend to hold their value far better than others on the market.

3. Daiwa Hydrolastic

save upto 23%

Daiwa Hydrolastic

Price: $11.47 was £14.99

If there is one product that has genuinely stood the test of time, it is Daiwa Hydrolastic. The price has barely shifted over the years, but right now you can pick it up with a 15% Black Friday discount, which makes stocking up a bit of a no brainer if you already trust it, or have been meaning to try it.

Hydrolastic is a hollow, fluid filled elastic that gives a true multi phase performance. On mixed fisheries and busy commercials it covers a wide range of situations in one setup. On small fish it behaves like a lighter elastic, but when you hook something bigger it powers up smoothly, offering more controlled stretch than a standard heavy solid elastic. The internal fluid keeps the walls apart as it compresses, so it remains progressive rather than locking up. It has been many anglers’ go to elastic for years for good reason, and at this price it is very hard to look past.

The Daiwa Matchman 13m is a capable commercial fishery pole, but can be used effectively on naturals and canals, and with this Black Friday discount you can pick one up for under £500. 5. Preston Innovations Edge Monster Margin 9.5m

save upto 10%

Preston Innovations Edge Monster Margin 9.5m

Price: $224.99 was 249.99

Preston’s original Edge Monster margin pole built a bit of a cult following, and for good reason. This new Edge Monster Margin 9.5m takes that same brutal strength and cranks everything up a level – and with this Black Friday deal, it is a very tempting upgrade.

The big change is in the blank. Graphene has been woven into the carbon, making the pole noticeably lighter, coming in at under 800g, yet even stronger than the previous model. On the bank that translates into a more reactive, better-balanced pole with extra control, without losing the ability to drag big carp out of evil edge swims.

Preston has also sorted the top kits. The originals were on the long side and are not compatible with this new version, but the new kits are fully interchangeable with the Superium range. You get a kit in the pole and a spare in the tube, and that compatibility makes this 9.5m animal a genuine backup option for your main Superium.

Built to be abused on commercials, this is Preston’s strongest margin pole to date. If you want a pole you can lean on hard down the edge and now grab it for less in the Black Friday sale, the Edge Monster Margin 9.5m is a serious bit of kit.

This is a take-apart 6m margin pole on a lightweight composite G-fibre blank, but don’t mistake light for soft. With an elastic rating of 24, it’s properly bomb-proof. Matrix has rewritten the rulebook with the new XTR range, the XTR400 Ultra Power – a 14.5m powerhouse that comes in under a thousand pounds and is now even better value with a Black Friday discount.

Built on an all-new mandrel, the XTR400 features slimmer, more responsive top kits designed specifically for modern commercial fishing. It’s not compatible with the older MTX range, but that’s a deliberate step forward – Matrix has used advanced materials to deliver a pole that’s stronger, stiffer, and more reliable than anything before it.

As the name suggests, this isn’t a delicate silverfish wand. The XTR400 is built to boss big carp, with the rigidity and control to handle heavy elastics and powerful fish without flinching. It ships smoothly, even in wet conditions, and the side puller kits perform faultlessly.

This latest edition of Daiwa’s legendary Spectron series brings in the newest advances in carbon and build tech. The blank is built on industry-leading Super MSG Nanoplus carbon fibre, giving a crisp, fast feel without sacrificing strength, while V-Joint Alpha keeps the action smooth and consistent through every section. Daiwa’s ITS taping from No4 improves stiffness and response where it matters most, and the Diamond Satin finish on the decorated sections helps the pole ship cleanly and stay comfortable in the hand during long sessions. A Section Alignment System keeps everything lining up as it should, and EVA end caps plus a quality Daiwa holdall round out a properly premium package.

At 15.2m plus the Super Light PHEX911-AU extension to reach the full 16m, it offers serious reach while staying well balanced for a pole of this length. Weight is quoted at 1390g, with a recommended elastic rating of 16 (20), and the pole is supplied as 10 sections plus the PHEX extension.
