The Connoisseur name is one that all pole anglers will be familiar with. These poles have dominated the market for the last 20 years since carp began to shape the UK match scene.

During this time there have been a variety of pole editions and evolving designs to be adorned with the moniker, from the launch of the G series in 2006 through to 2019’s incredibly powerful G90.

Continuing the Connoisseur’s legacy is the recently launched G90 PRO. This has seen a complete redesign in response to modern anglers demanding a responsive, powerful pole for use at the fullest length.

Even stiffer and still geared for even the strongest challenges at 16m, the G90 PRO takes UK pole design to the next level.

Through the selective application of premium Super MSG nanoplus carbon and the refinement of V-Joint Alpha, Daiwa’s designers have reduced the pole’s weight while also making it slightly stiffer.

Additionally, handling is enhanced with the ITS finish now running from the No4 section to the No8. This makes all the black sections as easy to ship as the Diamond Satin painted butt sections. The inclusion of a Super Light PHEX 911 also provides fishing length versatility.

The package choice also reflects what UK match anglers want and have been upgraded to include the new Professional Top Kits. Anglers can choose from either a More Power or More F1 package, the former coming with a selection of full-length top kits while the latter comes with two types of short one-piece F1 kit and a shortfourth section to compliment them.
